Part II: developing film
- Review: Practice loading film into developing tank
- Load your two rolls of film into developing tank
- Mixing chemicals
- Developing film and looking at your negatives
- How to store your negatives
- Discussion: Is photography art?
Session 3: - Basic concepts of photography Part III: enlarging and printing
- Mixing chemicals
- Making a test print
- Making a print of a picture
- Discussion: exposure and contrast of a print
Supplies provided by MAC, per student:
- Two rolls of Ilford FP4+ 35 mm film
- Film developer, stop, fixer, and wetting agent chemicals
- Paper developer, stop, and fixer chemicals
- Paper, ten 8x10” sheets per student
Supplies provided by student:
- 35 mm camera, if you have one, or you can borrow one from the MAC
- Notebook
- Pencil
