Manitou Art Center recognizes systemic racism and centuries of oppression against the Black community.  We acknowledge the MAC has not done enough in its role as an advocate. We commit to working harder in the fight against racism, inequity, and intolerance.

Manitou Art Center and Pikes Peak Library District Explore Possibility of Co-Locating

If you are a member of the MAC and have questions about the MAC/PPLD collaboration, join us for our weekly zoom meetings on Fridays at 4pm.  An invitation is sent directly to members inboxes.  We will spend a portion of each meeting updating our community about this opportunity.

Manitou Paints!
A Plein Air Event

Fine Art in Fresh Mountain Air

En plein air is the act of painting outside. Join us for live painting on the streets and in the parks in downtown Manitou Springs followed by an online auction during arts month in October. Proceeds from the auction benefit the Manitou Chamber of Commerce and the artist.

This invitation-only event brings artists from around the region to Manitou Springs for an art-filled day outdoors. Stroll around our historic town and watch artists at work.

If you are an artist and would like to participate, please email your bio and 5 examples of your art to allie@manitouchamber.com or submit an application

through the Chamber website here.

Finished pieces will be on display and auctioned at the MAC during October Arts Month.  Bring your finished work to the MAC between 12:30pm and 1:30pm on Saturday 12 September and complete an intake form on arrival.

Thank you for participating in this project! By the end, you will have your own wall hanging with words of inspiration on it.

Printed directions here.  Virtual First Friday September 4, 2020
