  • This is the SECOND series of classes for Basic Drawing. You must have a prerequisite to take this class. See below.

In this second class we will focus on combining all we learned in our first class to create some rendered compositions.
    We will learn:
    -How to compose a work
-How to situate subjects in space proportionally and with correct perspective
-How to build more complex subjects
-And apply more complex line and shading techniques

Prerequisites are having taken Basic Drawing or a good understanding and application of:

-Breaking subjects down into simple 2D shapes
-Making 2D shapes into 3D shapes
    -understanding planes and directional light
-shading 3D shapes to create volume
-competence with proportion and one point perspective

SUPPLY LIST is the same as for Basic Drawing although more range in pencil hardness is encouraged for ease of shading.
    For newcomers:
-a sketchpad of newsprint or up to 70lb weight paper in a minimum 9x12 size
-1 pencil in each hardness level of HB, B and B5 or B6 (more pencil ranges encouraged)
