Laser Cutter Certification 101

Who is this class for?

Certification 101 is for members who have this level of expertise in the laser cutter/engraver:

• beginner
• advanced beginner
• competent
• proficient
• expert

Learning Objective

To be able to:

• know the 'house rules' of the laser cutter/engraver and the design lab

Learning Outcome

Once certified a member will be able to:

• use the laser cutter/engraver independently
• use the design lab and laser cutter/engraver respectfully including cleaning
• have a clear understanding of which equipment in the design lab is community equipment and which equipment belongs to the library

Once certified a member will be able to use the laser cutter independently depending on membership type:

• Certified library card members will have access to the laser cutter/design lab during the hours of 10am-6pm Tuesday to Thursday and 10am-5pm Friday and Saturday
• Certified members who have red entry badges will have access to the laser cutter/design lab for 22hrs a days, 7 days a week.
